CEIN unveiled its cybersecurity entrepreneurship program for this year through a magic show in front of an audience of more than 600 people
The program kicks off this Wednesday with an open house where companies and individuals interested in starting a business can receive personalized guidance on cybersecurity
The public entity European Center for Business and Innovation of Navarra (CEIN) presented this year’s CEIN Cybersecurity Lab program yesterday afternoon at the Gayarre Theater. More than 600 people attended the event, which featured a performance by magician Jorge Luengo. This program aims to promote entrepreneurship in the field of cybersecurity, and its first session will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, where interested participants can receive personalized mentoring.
During the launch event held on Monday afternoon, Uxue Itoiz, managing director of CEIN, emphasized that this initiative “has emerged in response to the growing demand for cybersecurity solutions within the entrepreneurial ecosystem, including startups and SMEs, and offers different pathways tailored to their needs.”
For his part, Mikel Irujo, the Navarre Regional Government’s Minister of Industry and of Ecological and Digital Business Transition, closed the event. During his remarks, the minister emphasized that “nearly half of all cyberattacks target small businesses, so it’s not just large corporations that need to think about how to improve their cybersecurity.”
In addition, during the event, a representative from the startup InsAIght—which participated in the program last year—shared their experience and explained how the program helped them build a cybersecurity framework to support their business growth. Furthermore, Borja Roux, a mentor in CEIN’s cybersecurity program, shared his insights and outlined the key reasons why companies should invest in cybersecurity.
CEIN Cybersecurity Lab offers entrepreneurs and professionals training and expert guidance to help them develop and refine business ideas related to cybersecurity. It also provides specialized services to support the growth and scaling of startups with cybersecurity-related needs.
Cyber Mentor Days
The CEIN Cybersecurity Lab program includes specialized events such as Cyber Mentor Days, which will take place on February 26 and 27. Over the course of two days, the event will provide a dynamic space where participants can gain specific knowledge, ask questions, and connect with experts in the cybersecurity sector. Registration for the program is now open and can be completed through the CEIN website: https://eai.cein.es/cybermentor-days/
In addition to these events, throughout the year, SMEs in Navarre will also have access to an intensive program designed to help them acquire strategies and tools to strengthen a specific area related to cybersecurity.
The CEIN Cybersecurity Lab program represents the implementation in Navarre of the INCIBE Emprende program, promoted by Spain’s National Cybersecurity Institute (INCIBE)—an agency under the Ministry of Digital Transformation and Public Administration, through the Secretariat of State for Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence—and funded by the European Union through the Next Generation EU plan. CEIN is a public corporation of the Government of Navarra that is part of the Public Business Corporation of Navarra (CPEN).
