The European Business and Innovation Center of Navarra (CEIN) participated in the closing event of the European project "Bridge to AInnovation for the Entrepreneurship Ecosystem" (BAI), held on March 4 and 5 at the Estonian Embassy in Berlin. The event brought together institutional representatives, experts in digital governance, and stakeholders from the entrepreneurial ecosystem of the participating regions.

The BAI project, funded by the European Union through the Technical Support Instrument (TSI 2024), aims to establish an advanced entrepreneurship support system that integrates disruptive digital technologies, thereby improving the efficiency, accessibility, and security of public services for entrepreneurs and startups.

On the first day, participants toured Berlin’s innovation ecosystem, including Humboldt-Innovation and CIC Catalyst, where they were introduced to leading initiatives within Berlin’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

At the closing event, representatives from the e-Governance Academy (eGA) and the European Commission highlighted the importance of BAI in driving the digital transition of public administration and strengthening regions’ capacity to adopt advanced technologies. The main day of the event, held at the Estonian Embassy in Berlin, featured sessions on the project’s results, the challenges and opportunities of entrepreneurial ecosystems, ethics and cybersecurity in AI, as well as the technical requirements for technology adoption in the public sector.

Representing Navarre, Leire Goñi and Iñigo Donezar (SODENA) participated, while Txomin Goñi and Fernando Baztán represented CEIN in various sessions, sharing regional progress and perspectives on the adoption of AI in public services supporting entrepreneurship.

The event concluded with a discussion on the next steps, highlighting the importance of consolidating regional roadmaps for technology adoption and strengthening interregional collaboration to move toward public services that are more digital, interoperable, and focused on entrepreneurs.

With this event, BAI brings a key phase to a close and lays the groundwork for a new generation of digital public services for entrepreneurship, in which Navarra, through CEIN and together with its other European partners, will continue working to foster a more innovative, connected, and competitive entrepreneurial ecosystem.
