The Government of Navarre’s Directorate General of Trade and Consumer Affairs, through the public entity European Center for Business and Innovation of Navarre (CEIN), is organizing four meetings in different regions of the Autonomous Community of Navarre with the aim of strengthening rural commerce.

With the support of the Navarre Rural Commerce Revitalization Service Network—composed of Local Action Groups—and under the slogan “Commerce with Roots- Sustraidun merkataritza,” this series of workshops aims to support the competitiveness of local businesses, share success stories, highlight the projects and commercial establishments supported by the Government of Navarre, and strengthen collaborative networks within the business community in each area.

The first session, organized in collaboration with the TEDER Association, will take place on October 30 at the Muniáin de la Solana Town Hall, followed by a visit to the La Solana bar and shop (Tierra Estella). Cederna-Garalur will host the following events, which will be held on November 6 at the Beralandeta building in Bera (Baztán-Bidasoa) and on November 16 at the Aoiz City Hall (Pyrenees). Finally, the Zona Media Consortium is collaborating on the session on November 23, which will be hosted by the Kulturgunea Cultural Center in Tafalla (Zona Media).

The program for the sessions (which take place at midday) is divided into two parts. The first part focuses on highlighting successful initiatives and best practices in local commerce that can serve as inspiration for other businesses and entrepreneurs. Second, there will be a participatory activity to share the strengths, unique characteristics, and specific needs of local businesses in each region. At the end, there will be an opportunity for networking among attendees.

The “Comercio con raíz-Sustraidun merkataritza” series is part of the initiatives carried out by the Government of Navarre’s Directorate General of Commerce and Consumer Affairs to promote local commerce. In addition, the program organized by CEIN will include a process of listening to rural businesses in order to analyze their current situation.
