The new edition of Iruña Ekintzaile – Pamplona Emprende will aim to strengthen the retail sector through training and personalized support
The program, sponsored by the Pamplona City Council and CEIN, is aimed at both individuals interested in starting a business and business owners who wish to optimize their operations or are looking for a successor.
The City Council of Pamplona, in collaboration with the public entity European Business and Innovation Center of Navarra (CEIN), has launched a new edition of the Iruña Ekintzaile – Pamplona Emprende program, which aims to support the development of new business ideas in the commercial sector, strengthen existing businesses, and facilitate the transfer of commercial establishments in the capital of Navarra.
The main new feature this year is that the program has been organized into five thematic blocks, each offering specialized training. In addition, the program includes a final phase that provides personalized support to businesses to help them apply the knowledge they have gained to improve their operations. Specifically, topics such as physical store optimization, sales and marketing, financial management, commerce and tourism, and business succession and continuity will be addressed.
Mikel Armendáriz Barnechea, the Pamplona City Councilor in charge of Economic Development, European Affairs, Innovation, Youth, and Development Cooperation, and Uxue Itoiz Mariñelarena, the managing director of CEIN, presented the program at a press conference this morning; registration is now open.
Iruña Ekintzaile – Pamplona Emprende is aimed at individuals interested in starting a business in the retail sector—whether they have a business idea or are looking to take over an existing one—as well as current business owners who want to strengthen their strategy or are looking to sell their business.
In this edition, the program offers a flexible training program—running from April through June—consisting of short, practical modules on five key topics, allowing each participant to choose the training that best suits their needs. Additionally, from August through October, participants will receive personalized mentoring and support to help them apply these concepts to their business or project.
From economic management to succession
The training program offered by Iruña Ekintzaile – Pamplona Emprende consists of 14 sessions, each lasting an hour and a half, organized into five thematic modules.
Thus, the modules on financial management will cover the basic financial concepts that every business needs to master in order to ensure its viability and make decisions with greater confidence.
The sessions focused on optimizing the physical aspects of retail will focus on improving the store’s performance as a sales space.
Another series of sessions will examine tourism as an opportunity for local businesses, while the series on marketing and sales will focus on helping businesses better connect with their customers and turn those relationships into sales.
Finally, a fifth module will be designed to provide guidance to both businesses considering a transfer of ownership and individuals interested in taking over an existing business.
