The fifth edition of the Agrofood Accelerator Agrofood kicked off with nine innovative projects in the agri-food sector, led by six female entrepreneurs and five male entrepreneurs.

This CEIN program will provide participating initiatives with the necessary training and specialized support through November to help them grow and gain market access.

The Agrofood Accelerator Agrofood off with an initial session in which the participating projects were presented to stakeholders in the agri-food ecosystem who are collaborating with the program, with the aim of fostering mutual understanding and establishing initial connections.

Starting in July, the entrepreneurs will begin an intensive acceleration program that combines group sessions with one-on-one mentoring, focusing on validating their business ideas in real-world scenarios and launching them into the market with the best possible chance of success. As part of this program, they will address topics such as business growth strategies, building entrepreneurial teams, marketing, and securing funding.

Throughout the acceleration process, entrepreneurs receive support from the CEIN team, as well as from expert organizations within the ecosystem such as the Navarre Institute of Agri-Food Technologies and Infrastructure (INTIA), the National Center for Agri-Food Technologies (CNTA), the Navarre Agri-Food Cluster (Nagrifood), the Union of Agri-Food Cooperatives of Navarra (UCAN), the Union of Farmers and Ranchers of Navarra (UAGN), the Nutrition Research Center and the Bioma Center at the University of Navarra, the Association of Agri-Food Industries of Navarra, La Rioja, and Aragon (ALINAR), Sodena, and the Food & Agri Tech Europe (FATE) association.

The participating projects

The projects included in this edition of the Agrofood Accelerator Agrofood selected—based on their level of innovation and potential—from among the 19 that participated in the first incubation phase, which focused on defining the business model and prototyping the product or service.

The nine selected business initiatives are:

  • TreeTears. Transforms underutilized agricultural and forestry biomass into high-value-added ingredients through micro-refineries that generate value directly at the source for sectors such as cosmetics, food, and pharmaceuticals.
  • Indakoa. A family-run farm in Baztán that raises Latxa sheep and aims to transform its own milk into artisanal dairy products with high added value.
  • BeiLan. Upcycling of animal byproducts through the sanitization of sheep’s wool from Navarre to produce a fertilizer with slow-release nutrients, high water retention, and soil-structuring properties.
  • Murrixka. An agroecological project focused on extensive pig farming that integrates sustainable water and soil management, regenerative grazing, artisanal processing, and direct marketing.
  • Esneko. An organic farm raising Pottoka lambs, dedicated to preserving a native breed at risk of extinction.
  • Ku’uk. Develops innovative plant-based foods using sprouting and fermentation processes that improve the digestibility, nutritional profile, and functional properties of the ingredients.
  • Robotika. A digital platform for agriculture that integrates data, sensors, algorithms, and automation into a single digital twin.
  • Mise en Place Gourmet. We create artisanal ready-to-cook meals using ingredients carefully selected at the source and sourced locally.
