Navarra demonstrates its industrial leadership at Southern Europe's leading automation and robotics event

Councilor Irujo highlights the strengths of Navarre’s industrial ecosystem at Advanced Factories, an event bringing together more than 33,000 professionals from across Europe

At a time when reindustrialization is emerging as a key strategy for restoring Europe’s industrial autonomy, Navarra—recognized as a European Industrial Region in 2025 and boasting a robust industrial ecosystem—is once again participating in the tenth edition of Advanced Factories, Southern Europe’s leading event for industrial automation and robotics, which will take place on May 5, 6, and 7 in Barcelona.

On this occasion, the Autonomous Community of Navarre is attending this tenth edition of Advanced Factories with a delegation representing the Navarran ecosystem, comprising the Regional Minister for Industry and Ecological and Digital Business Transition, Mikel Irujo Amezaga; the Director of Business Development and Infrastructure, Iñigo Arruti; companies such as Largoiko, Enorte, and seven startups: Adapting, Lera, Muxunav, Nawattia, Nulab, Tairel Data, and Vors Control, alongside the public entity European Business and Innovation Center of Navarra (CEIN), AIN, LASEME, ATANA, and ADITECH. This presence reflects the industrial weight of Navarra, the region with the highest contribution from the industrial sector to the national GDP, at 32%.

This ecosystem was featured at a panel discussion where the Regional Government of Navarre had the opportunity to showcase its industrial strength. Participants in the panel included Mikel Irujo, Regional Minister of Industry and Ecological and Digital Business Transition; David Fernández de la Pradilla, Managing Director of Largoiko; and Uxue Itoiz, Managing Director of CEIN, who moderated the discussion.

During his remarks, Councilor Irujo highlighted the strengths of Navarra’s ecosystem: “Navarra has a lot to offer businesses. We have a key strategic position in driving a cutting-edge industry that sets the pace for the evolution toward digitalized companies. A full ecosystem of technological support, innovation, entrepreneurship, services, advanced engineering, training, education, industrial land, and, of course, clear institutional support.” 

In addition, Iñigo Arruti, Director General of Business Development and Infrastructure for the Government of Navarre, participated in the roundtable discussion “Regional Strategies for the New Industry—Sovereignty, Innovation, and Resilience.” In his remarks, he emphasized that the current ecological and digital transformation the world is undergoing “should not be a rupture, but an evolution.” That is why, while we are promoting disruptive sectors, we are shielding our traditional industry through the new Regional Industry Law. This law is designed to make the administration faster and more proactive, ensuring that our existing plants have the land, electrical power, and talent they need to digitize without losing competitiveness.”

Navarra: A Leader in Industry 

A pioneer in Industry 4.0, Navarra boasts a high-potential ecosystem featuring technologies such as IoT, big data, and artificial intelligence, which enhance its production processes. This is complemented by its significant investment in R&D&I and sustainability—including investments in renewable energy and resource efficiency—as well as its established reputation as an optimal environment for industrialization. 
Companies will showcase their full potential to more than 33,000 industry professionals who will attend in search of the latest solutions in automation, robotics, artificial intelligence, 3D printing, digital twins, IoT… to improve the productivity of their production plants.

CEIN promotes its business ecosystem

The public entity European Business and Innovation Center of Navarra (CEIN) is participating in the Advanced Factories trade show with a booth that also features six startups from its ecosystem offering industrial solutions.

The companies Adapting, Lera, Muxunav, Nawattia, Nulab, Tairel Data, and Vors Control will showcase their products and services and will have the opportunity to give various presentations to introduce their offerings. 

CEIN's participation is part of the Tech FabLab project to create digital entrepreneurship networks, which is co-financed by the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan of the Ministry of Digital Transformation and Public Administration through Next Generation EU funds.

Participating startups

Adaptig. It combines applied mathematics with extensive industry experience to turn complex operations into measurable results. Its models explain why things happen—not just what will happen—helping you act with confidence when it matters most. 

Lera. Develops AI-powered voice agents for companies that receive customer calls, notifications, or incident reports: it answers calls, understands what the caller needs, and prepares the information so the team can handle it 

Muxunav. An engineering firm specializing in unattended payment and telemetry solutions for industrial and retail environments. It develops proprietary technology that connects machines, data, and payments, enabling remote management, operational optimization, and monetization.

Nawattia. Nawattia brings smart far-infrared heating to large industrial spaces, improving energy efficiency, decarbonization, and workplace well-being. 

Nulab. Develops innovative technological solutions for the agri-food sector that enable real-time, accurate monitoring of food quality and safety throughout the entire production process in a digital environment. 

Tairel Data. The company specializes in research and providing services to businesses through AI consulting. It develops and implements AI-based solutions to improve productivity, efficiency, and decision-making. 

Vors Control. Develops advanced control engineering solutions to optimize complex industrial systems and processes using simulators, digital twins, and control and estimation algorithms.
