Challenge 20. “Smart Assistant for Internal Knowledge Management and Utilization”
About MTorres
MTorres is a leading international industrial group specializing in advanced technological solutions for sectors such as aerospace and energy. With a strong foundation in engineering and the development of custom solutions, the company designs and manufactures highly complex machinery and systems, positioning itself as a strategic partner for major industrial companies worldwide.
In recent years, M Torres has been experiencing significant growth, which has led to the ongoing recruitment of new technical and specialized staff. This situation underscores the need to structure and scale up knowledge transfer within the organization, ensuring that critical know-how is preserved and effectively passed on.

Challenge 20. “Smart Assistant for Internal Knowledge Management and Utilization”
MTorres designs each of its machines specifically, building on existing foundations but adapting them to each new project. Over time, the company has accumulated a significant body of technical knowledge: design solutions, material selection, components used, configurations, issues encountered, and lessons learned.
However, this knowledge currently has several limitations:
It is scattered and loosely organized.
It depends largely on the people who created it.
It is difficult to find and reuse quickly.
People don't always review previous solutions before designing new ones.
As a result, in many cases there is a tendency to rely on standard or familiar solutions rather than drawing on all the knowledge available within the organization.
MTorres aims to evolve toward a model based on an intelligent knowledge repository that enables the organization, structuring, and utilization of all this information , making it easily accessible through intuitive tools such as conversational assistants.
Therefore, we are seeking solutions that will enable the creation of an intelligent knowledge repository, supported by an assistant ( such as a chatbot or co-pilot) that makes it easier to use on a day-to-day basis.
In particular, we will prioritize solutions that are capable of:
Centralize and organize technical knowledge from multiple sources:
project histories.
technical documentation.
design solutions.
internal databases.
Enable users to retrieve information using natural language.
Provide support during the design process by suggesting materials, components, and/or previously used solutions.
Facilitate the reuse of existing knowledge.
Generate context-specific and useful responses for technical roles.
Expected benefits
A solution in this area will enable MTorres to make an impact at various levels:
Improved engineering efficiency: quick, structured access to key information during the design process.
Reuse of knowledge: systematic application of technical history to new projects.
Reducing reliance on individual expertise: less dependence on the tacit knowledge of specific individuals.
Improved decision-making: more informed selection of solutions, materials, and configurations.
Time saved searching for information: reduced time spent locating scattered data.
Extending knowledge to other areas: facilitating access to information for technical service teams.
What are they looking for in a collaborator?
MTorres is seeking collaborators capable of developing practical solutions tailored to complex industrial environments, as well as secure systems that take into account the sensitivity of proprietary information and the need to protect it.
The following will be given special consideration:
Experience in knowledge management and intelligent repositories.
Development of conversational assistants or co-pilots.
Ability to work with unstructured technical information.
Integration with the company's existing systems (3DExperience, Salesforce, intranet, internal document repositories, etc.).
Awareness of secure information management.
The ability to propose solutions that can be implemented gradually and generate value from the very beginning will be particularly important.
