Erliebe, the digital platform that provides access to advanced surveying services

Erliebe is a digital platform that streamlines and reduces costs for architecture and engineering professionals by providing quick, easy, and self-service access to reliable, state-of-the-art surveying data.

Miguel Villafranca is one of the founders of this project and participated in this year's edition of Impulso Emprendedor. He is joined on the team by Josu Ramírez, Mikel González, and Iratxe Orbe.

His partner is an architect, and she often needed site surveys, so he would provide her with the data she needed. As Miguel explains, the cartographic data is publicly available—sourced from various government agencies—but it’s hard to find and is published in a scattered manner and in formats that aren’t very user-friendly. “That’s when the idea came up; I shared it with the rest of the team, and we launched Erliebe,” he explains.

Erliebe users can access the platform and carry out their topographic surveys directly at an affordable cost from the earliest stages of a project, even in situations where work is carried out at their own risk.

For now, it focuses on Navarre and the Basque Country, although trials are also underway in other autonomous communities. In addition to topographic surveys, it offers additional tools, 2D and 3D visualization, and integration into standard workflows with the ability to download files in CAD format.

They are also exploring other areas of development, also focused on the digital transformation of the construction industry, such as the use of artificial intelligence to generate more detailed images of objects in a specific area (buildings, trees, etc.).

Focus efforts

They learned about Impulso Emprendedor through the CEIN website, after being referred by a contact. Their application was shortlisted, and the mentoring companies (Caja Rural de Navarra, Cinfa, Corporación Mondragón, Salinas de Navarra, Viscofán, and Zabala Innovation Consulting) selected them to join the program.

“Taking part in Impulso,” Miguel explains, “is opening their eyes to things like the importance of communication and emotion in the professional world, as well as new approaches to understanding the business and making headway. ‘It’s very important for our project because it’s helping us categorize our clients and focus our efforts.’”

“It’s an experience that truly goes beyond the professional world and can give us a boost, not only as a business idea but also as people,” he concludes.
