The third edition of the Top 101 Spain Up Nation awards for innovative entrepreneurship is now open
Companies interested in participating may submit their applications by September 11.
The Spanish Association of Regional Development Agencies (Foro ADR)—of which the public entity European Center for Business and Innovation of Navarra (CEIN) is a member—and the National Innovation Agency (ENISA), representing the Spain Up Nation brand, have launched the third edition of the Top 101 Spain Up Nation awards for innovative entrepreneurship.
This brand recognizes and supports innovative entrepreneurship and the growth of emerging businesses. It also promotes, shares, and disseminates the keys to innovation to transform projects and companies into new models of production, distribution, and consumption, and identifies companies that, through their social, economic, and environmental impact, add value to society by contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Companies interested in participating can apply through September 11 via the website www.top101spainupnation.com, and the evaluation of applications will take place in two phases: a regional phase and a national phase. In the regional stage, the four best companies from each autonomous community will be selected and will receive a “direct pass” to the Top 101—up to a maximum of 76 companies. The evaluation will assess the entrepreneurial team’s capabilities and leadership, as well as the innovation of the business model in its broadest sense, including processes, ideas, services, products, structures, and channels, among other factors.
At this stage, the potential for scalability and international expansion is also considered, through an analysis of global growth, the market, competitive advantages, sustainability, and job creation. In this case, companies that already hold ENISA’s Emerging Company Certification are exempt.
In addition, an economic and financial analysis is conducted to ensure the feasibility and consistency of the projections. Finally, the social impact of the projects is assessed, with a focus on those that contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and are capable of generating real solutions, adding value, addressing needs, and transforming their environment.
On the other hand, at the national level, the remaining twenty-five companies—bringing the total to 101—will be reevaluated based on additional criteria, such as an assessment of their social, business, and environmental impact models.
The companies that are selected will receive their awards on November 18 at the national gala to be held in Logroño.
