CEIN launches a new cybersecurity program for startups
Registration must be completed by January 26
CEIN has designed a new Cybersecurity Acceleration Program for startups across all sectors, featuring a 100% strategic and business-oriented approach tailored for CEOs, regardless of their technical background.
Registration is open until January 26 via this link, and a maximum of 10 participants will be selected.
The program is designed to facilitate decision-making and prioritize the cybersecurity issues that are truly relevant to a startup, without requiring any prior technical knowledge.
This makes it possible to identify the truly significant risks in each case, anticipate the needs of clients and investors, and avoid common mistakes that, during growth phases, often lead to missed opportunities, business delays, or technical cost overruns.
The goal is for participating startups to complete the program with clearly defined priorities and a realistic roadmap that aligns with their current situation and business strategy.
In cases where the startup has an in-house technical expert (or the CEO has a technical background), the program is supplemented with additional hours of mentoring focused on implementation.
Program Development
The program will begin with an initial, customized assessment, during which each participating startup will receive a detailed analysis of its current cybersecurity status, conducted by an expert.
This will be followed by a week-long intensive group training session with a practical focus, centered on decisions that directly impact the business, customers, and investors.
Participants will also receive strategic one-on-one mentoring sessions designed to help them put specific decisions into practice in each case. In addition, startups with a technical focus or CEOs with a technical background will receive additional mentoring focused on implementation.
The Cybersecurity Acceleration Program is part of a broader initiative, CEIN CYBERSECURITY LAB, which involves the implementation in Navarre of the INCIBE Emprende program, promoted by Spain’s National Cybersecurity Institute (INCIBE)—an agency under the Ministry of Digital Transformation and Public Administration, through the Secretariat of State for Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence— and funded by the European Union through the Next Generation EU plan.
Support for entrepreneurs
INCIBE Emprende was launched with the aim of boosting cybersecurity entrepreneurship. The initiative seeks, among other things, to strengthen the cybersecurity capabilities of citizens, small and medium-sized enterprises, and professionals, and to foster the cybersecurity sector’s ecosystem.
From 2023 to 2026, INCIBE will continue to support Spanish cybersecurity entrepreneurs and startups throughout the entire entrepreneurial process, from the initial phase of identifying business ideas through incubation and acceleration. In fact, for over seven years, the Institute has been promoting cybersecurity entrepreneurship, as evidenced by our alumni network—a community that includes some of the most prominent cybersecurity startups on the national and international scene.
INCIBE Emprende’s initiatives and actions fall under the Program to Boost the National Cybersecurity Industry, which is part of the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan (PRTR) through Component 15: Investment 7 Cybersecurity—Strengthening the capabilities of citizens, SMEs, and professionals, and promoting the sector.
