CEIN, along with Navarran startups participating in the Cybersecurity Acceleration Program, visited the BAT (B Accelerator Tower) in Bilbao, one of the leading hubs for innovation and entrepreneurship in northern Spain.

Representatives from the organization, the Navarra Cybersecurity Center, and the firms Adaptia Data Services, Bitmatria, Genbioma Aplicaciones, Nautilus Experiencias Digitales, Nulab Analítica Alimentaria, Patrimonio fácil, Sowify Global Solutions, and Tude Consultores Informáticos participated in this event, which gave them the opportunity to learn about other initiatives, share experiences, and establish strategic contacts.

During the visit, startups from Navarre gave brief presentations on their projects and had the opportunity to meet firsthand with various companies and stakeholders in the cybersecurity ecosystem that is part of BAT, with the aim of facilitating networking and fostering potential synergies and collaborations.

Specifically, the companies they were able to meet include Intelectia Telecom (Coolay), Mosaikus, Nymiz, Orbik Cybersecurity, Osane Consulting (Cybertix), Probatia, Steryon, Cibersare, Pappstor, and Jakincode.

This visit is part of the curriculum for CEIN’s Cybersecurity Acceleration Program, which is designed to facilitate decision-making and prioritize the cybersecurity aspects that are truly relevant to a startup.

The program, which combines training and mentoring, enables each participating startup to identify the risks that are truly significant to them, set priorities, and develop a realistic roadmap aligned with their current stage and business strategy.

The Cybersecurity Acceleration Program is part of a broader initiative, CEIN CYBERSECURITY LAB, which involves the implementation in Navarre of the INCIBE Emprende program, promoted by Spain’s National Cybersecurity Institute (INCIBE)—an agency under the Ministry of Digital Transformation and Public Administration, through the Secretariat of State for Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence— and funded by the European Union through the Next Generation EU plan.

Support for entrepreneurs

INCIBE Emprende was launched with the aim of boosting cybersecurity entrepreneurship. The initiative seeks, among other things, to strengthen the cybersecurity capabilities of citizens, small and medium-sized enterprises, and professionals, and to foster the cybersecurity sector’s ecosystem.

From 2023 to 2026, INCIBE will continue to support Spanish cybersecurity entrepreneurs and startups throughout the entire entrepreneurial process, from the initial phase of identifying business ideas through incubation and acceleration. In fact, the Institute has been promoting cybersecurity entrepreneurship for over seven years, as evidenced by its alumni network—a community that includes some of the most prominent cybersecurity startups on the national and international scene.

INCIBE Emprende’s initiatives and actions fall under the Program to Boost the National Cybersecurity Industry, which is part of the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan (PRTR) through Component 15: Investment 7 Cybersecurity—Strengthening the capabilities of citizens, SMEs, and professionals, and promoting the sector.
