Arantza Olivencia and Cristina Lázaro: The Right to Start a Business with a Sense of Purpose

After years of working in immigration law at a nonprofit organization, they decided to take the next step and start their own firm, Olex Abogadas. Ruta 31 where it all began.

“We loved the field, but we felt we needed a different pace, a different way of doing things.” That’s how the story of Arantza Olivencia and Cristina Lázaro begins. Two legal professionals who decided to start their own business and make Olex Abogadas (a law firm specializing in immigration law and international mobility) so they could devote more time to each case, delve deeper into their work, and, above all, take on new challenges. The idea came about, like many good ideas, during a casual conversation over coffee, fueled by a strong desire to change the game.

They didn't know where to start, but they knew they wanted to do it right. That's where Ruta 31, CEIN’s entrepreneurship support service, which not only helped them validate their timing but also taught them how to map out their path. “It helped us lose our fear of asking questions, to see that it wasn’t a leap into the unknown,” they say. Today their firm is growing, they’re exploring new lines of work, and they’re enjoying the thrill and satisfaction of seeing their project take root.

If you, too, have reached the point where the idea just won't leave you alone, maybe it's time to bring it to life. Ruta 31 help you get off to a great start. Find out more at https://www.ruta31.es.
