Specialité: A Passion for Tea, Supported by Iruña Ekintzaile | Pamplona Emprende
Sonia Mérida is growing her business thanks to this program run by the City of Pamplona and CEIN.
Especialité isn’t your typical tea and spice shop. It’s a cozy spot filled with aromas, stories, and conversation on Curia Street in Pamplona. Behind the counter is Sonia Mérida, an internationally certified tea sommelier with over 15 years of experience in the world of tea. Her goal is clear: to help each person discover the flavor and benefits of the tea that best suits their lifestyle.
In addition to selling specialty teas and spices of all kinds in bulk, Especialité offers a unique experience. Sonia advises, listens, tailors her recommendations, and, above all, shares her knowledge. Whether she’s adjusting a tea blend to suit a customer’s taste or creating custom spice blends—such as her famous freshly ground lemon pepper—she also introduces customers to the world of tea pairings, a trend that’s still relatively unknown but holds great potential.
Thanks to the support of the program Iruña Ekintzaile | Pamplona Emprende, jointly promoted by the Pamplona City Council and CEIN, Sonia will strengthen the business and sales aspects of her project without losing its artisanal essence.
The program is open to business owners like Sonia who want to optimize their business, as well as those looking for someone to take over their business and people who want to start a new business in the capital. If any of these apply to you, click here.
