CEIN and 12 startups from its ecosystem are participating in three international health forums
Lisbon hosted the BIO-Europe Spring, LSX Europe, and RESI Europe events.
The public entity European Business and Innovation Center of Navarra (CEIN) participated, along with 12 startups from its ecosystem, in the international healthcare events BIO-Europe Spring, LSX Europe, and RESI Europe, which took place in Lisbon this week.
Specifically, the companies that make up the Navarre delegation are Amets Biotechnology, Darwin Biomed, Eversens, Guska, InnoUp Farma, InsAIght, MyM Global Innovation, Nanogrow Biotech, Popcorn Therapeutics, Trimerbody Pharma, Vitaly Health , and Ysium Medical.
Its active participation in these leading events in the healthcare and biotechnology sectors is part of the support that CEIN provides through the HEALTH program to help startups scale up, strengthen their professional networks, and facilitate their access to international markets.
In this context, companies from Navarre have been able to hold bilateral meetings with investors and potential partners, participate in networking sessions, and attend conferences on the latest trends in biotechnology. In addition, a group of startups presented their solutions in the areas set aside for pitches.
As for the pitches, Amets Biotechnology won second prize in the Innovator’s Pitch Challenge (IPC), which was held as part of RESI Europe.
Ultimately, the primary goal of this mission has been to maximize opportunities for collaboration, learning, and business development within Navarre’s life sciences ecosystem.
It is worth noting that the HEALTH program is part of the CEIN HEALTH initiative, which provides specialized services to support and accelerate innovative entrepreneurial projects and startups in the healthcare sector.
Health Entrepreneurship Programs
Entrepreneurship in the healthcare sector is one of CEIN’s main areas of focus. To promote it, the public entity runs both acceleration and scaling programs for companies. In addition, it offers shared-use laboratories that companies based in its incubators can utilize.
Anyone interested in launching a startup in this sector can apply for the upcoming program, which will begin in May. All the information is available on the CEIN website (health).
Finally, it is worth noting that on April 17, a masterclass open to the public will be held, titled“Patient Experience: The Key to Developing Healthcare Products and Services.” The event will feature Eduard Portella, vice president of the international association Shared Patient Experience (SPX); Ainhoa Villarubias, a professional in the User Experience Unit at the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau, with an MBA in management; Olga Carro, head of population health strategy at Sanofi; and Marta de Vicente, director of Antares Consulting, who will moderate the masterclass. The talk is free, will be held online, and those interested can register on the CEIN website.
